Minnesota Excellence in Public Service (MEPS) Series

The Minnesota Excellence in Public Service (MEPS) Series  - The Minnesota Series began in October 2007 and was founded by Mary Igo.  The national series began in Indiana in 1989 and more than 20 other states now have active programs.  More than 1,200 women, ranging in ages from 21 to 65, have graduated from the series across the US.

The MEPS Series is a nine-month immersion program (one full Saturday per month) for political and personal development, culminating with a three-day summit in Washington, D.C., where participants hear from national leaders and network with programs from other states.  The series provides leadership and political training to conservative women throughout Minnesota.  Yearly, approximately 10 remarkable women leave the series well-equipped to fulfill leadership roles in their careers, their communities and their government.  Past graduates have gone on to serve in the Minnesota legislature, governor-appointed boards, host conservative talk radio, run for office, manage campaigns, and grow grassroots programs for Republican women.

Our mission is to increase the number of women with conservative values who become involved in the political process and/or are elected or appointed to governmental positions at the local, state and federal levels - thus strengthening their influence.
